Summer Reminder

Project E-Teach Summer Reminder

Can you believe the end of the year is upon us? We know this is a very busy time for you, but we wanted to share some summer reminders with you.

------Summer Hours------
Project E-Teach staff will be working all summer. The help desk is available via e-mail (Shaunda.Guthrie@esc13.txed.net ) or phone (512.919.5228 or toll free 866.438.3224) during the following times:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Please feel free to call us or even stop by if you need assistance

-----------Summer Share Fair--------
The Summer Share Fair will be held on June 18, 2001 at the Red Lion Hotel in Austin. I would encourage you all to attend. You do not have to share anything to attend. This will be a mini-conference with various presentations happening. Participants can choose which presentations they would like to attend! We have a wonderful speaker who has recently returned from MayaQuest plus many wonderful door prizes. There is no charge for attending!

This is a great time to connect with your peers in a fun, informative, and relaxing environment.

----------Project end date---------
Many participants have asked when this project ends. Project E-Teach was a 14-month grant that ends Sept 30, 2001. This means that mentors and trainers are available to assist at the beginning of the 2001-2002 school year. We will be scheduling mentors over the summer to visit with you during this time.

At this time no additional funding is available to continue this project. All project activities will cease on Sept 30, 2001. We will continue to search for available funding in the future.

Project participants completing all of the Project E-Teach requirements will be receiving a special award in September 2001.

------------Turning in CD's----------
Many participants have asked when their CD has to be turned in to Project E-Teach. The CD, portfolio and lessons created during the project are yours to keep. We would love to see your projects if you choose to submit them to the project office. You are NOT required to submit your CD. Once you show it on Day 5, you have completed that portion of the project requirements.

-------------Summer e-mail addresses-------
At this time, we don't anticipate sending any e-mail over the summer. If you would like to submit a summer e-mail address to us, we will keep it on file in case we need to contact you. We will be sending communication in August and September 2001. If you know you will have a different e-mail address at that time, please let us know by responding to this e-mail. Keeping 2100 educators informed has proven to be a daunting task! Any assistance in locating you in August and September 2001 would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, thank you for your support and efforts during the 2000-2001 school year. Each and every one of you has made a positive impact on the lives of your students and you are greatly appreciated! I have seen numerous projects that participants have created and they make me want come to your classroom to learn!

Thank you again!!
