Completely Free Software: Is your classroom computer use hindered by the lack of programs that your school has licenses for? Now there's help. This website provides a guide to the best freeware on the Internet. These programs are not shareware and are totally free fully working time unlimited versions. Some of the programs may be lite or earlier versions but they still offer great features. There are also several totally free zip utility programs and all sorts of educational games.

Animated American Sign Language Dictionary: This sign language dictionary is designed to help people learn more about American Sign Language and the Deaf community.

3-D Computer Dictionary: A colorful, easy to use dictionary of computer/technology terms. Includes a picture and example with each definition.

Word Central: The Merriam-Webster Dictionary for Kids. This is a "super cool" site for students who want a dictionary, thesaurus, rhyming dictionary, spelling bee information, or help composing poetry.

Dictionary Plus: Dictionary Plus is the ultimate vocabulary reference tool. A dictionary and thesaurus in one, it contains listings for over 50,000 words, with full definitions, synonyms, usage examples and more. The idea behind this website was to take the abundance of information about teaching on the web and organize it into an easy to use virtual encyclopedia. Also includes virtual encyclopedias for numerous other subjects.

THOR: The Virtual Reference Desk: A first-rate reference guide containing links to dictionaries, thesauri, almanacs, atlases, travel information, phone books, people finder, International directories, science data, World facts, government documents, and more.

Plumb Design Visual Thesaurus: A 3-D and 2-D thesaurus helping visual learners explore sense-relationships within the English Language. To start the Visual Thesaurus wait until you see "loaded, click to launch" at the top of the screen, and then click on these words. While using the thesaurus simply click on any word in the display and this word will move to the center. Super Cool!
